Pearls from a 3 yr old...priceless

This morning I was reading the scriptures while the kids ate breakfast and we were reading about Adam and Eve.  We got to the part about Cain not wanting to follow the commandments, just wanting to follow Satan.

Lilly: "Satan?!  Thats my teach-a's name!  MY teach-a is Satan! (Lilly is so excited about school, she likes to say EVERYONE EVERYWHERE is her teacher, or has something to do with her class)"

(I giggled a little before answering) Me: "No honey, Satan is Jesus' brother, he's our brother too...before we came to earth there was a war in heaven because......(trying my best to explain that to a 3,4, and 5 year old is super awesome)"

So we got to the point where Cain kills Abel, and I prefaced that with explaining that..."Remember Connor, they were brothers...just like you and Sam."

Their eyes got big when it became a little more personal. So before school we were having family prayer and when it came to Lilly's turn, she says, "....and bless us not to hurt Sam..Amen"
