Theres been a whole lot of "Firsts" around here. So many happened one right after the other that I have sooooo much blogging to catch up on, so yep.....thats right, I'm cheating and taking a shortcut and categorizing them in all the "Firsts"
School:
Lilly has been so excited about starting preschool. I really didn't want to start her this early, since I'm holding her and Lauren back because of their August birthdays. But she wasn't having any of that. Imagine how tickled I was when Kim Yardley opened up a new preschool right behind me, walking distance for Lilly. Connor and Luarne fight over who gets to "pick her up" after school. I love when Lauren picks her up, she pretends to be so big...."Lilly, stay right by me. Hold my hand." They are about the exact same size and its so cute.
Lauren was tickled that Kaitlyn was in her class too.
Which brings me to my next first. FINALLY doing Lauren's hair and loving it!!!
First demolition Derby with all four kids. So fun. Kids loved it and Sammy was a fantastic boy
Sammy had his first grocery store trip with me and that came with his first sucker which he equally enjoyed
Lauren and Lilly had their first horse ride on their own....well almost :)
First time getting this close to our dear prophet. Joe and Bev treated all of us kids to seeing a matinee of the Music Man and who should sit just a few rows ahead of me, President Monson. It was so awesome to watch all of the young men and young women stand in line wanting to meet him, wanting to be near him. You could just feel of his love and it was such an amazing experience to simply be in the same room with him, watch him wiggle his ears for the little kids....it was incredible.
It was funny, the theatre doesn't allow pictures taken, Jim told me to put mine away...I said, "Look they'll get over it...in a week they'll forget, and I'll have a picture of the prophet. What do you think I'm gonna choose?"
Sammy's first time hanging with dad after work...
...Sammy's first family bike ride
And of course, Connor's first day of Kindergarten and MY first kindergartner.
I love that they're together. I love that they'll have built in friends. Makes or breaks your school experience. I told Jaxon and Connor to watch out for Jadyn and for eachother, I was thrilled (sorry this is going to sound awful) when Connor came home, said that there was a boy that tackled him at recess and hurt him. He said, "Ya...but don't worry, Jaxon beat him for it." Ahhhh....my own little bull dog. Love that Jaxon and his FIERCE protective heart. Love it.
Poor Kyson wasn't understanding why he couldn't go...
WAY thrilled with Connor's cute teacher, Mrs. Smith (Kenzie) She is so perfect and does such a great job.
I was dying to hear all about his day and how it went, when I asked him what his favorite part of school was....the bus.
