First food....

Every new parent knows the feeling of getting your brand new bib, camera, video camera, neighbors and friends gathered to witness your new babies first taste of baby food.  You think its going to be magical, life changing, and beautiful....its not.  No one tells you that babies don't know how to eat and push every bit out.  They only know how to suck and swallow, their tongue isn't used to this baby food stuff.  So it gets everywhere and you wonder what was the point as you turn off your memory making gadgetsl, defeated.  You don't realize that really the point of the "first foods" isn't to give them a yummy treat, its to teach them to eat so that in a few months they can actually eat. 

 So I didn't get any memory making devices out for Sam's first food (carrots). Little did I know he was once again going to defy my expectations and eat the ENTIRE tub on the first sitting. Aw my little over achieving little Sammy Joe.
