I remember few memories that were as blissful for me as the time my mom took me to the theatre and we saw The Little Mermaid when I was 7. I was obsessed. I must've taken 5 baths a day so I could play with my new Ariel barbie she got me for my birthday. Not long after that I remember having the Sunday School lesson on faith, about how if you have enough faith nothing is impossible. So, of course not long after I saw "Splash" I said goodbye to all my friends and school, I tried to soak in my last moments of being human on the bus ride home and marched right upstairs, filled the tub with cold water (hello thats what mermaid swim in...obviously), dumped an entire canister of salt in the tub, got in and stared at my legs waiting for them to change into fins. 4 hours later.... I climbed out of the tub and felt pretty defeated. I was that obsessed.
So you can imagine how excited I was to see it come full circle with my girls. They have been so excited to see the Little Mermaid down at Tuachan. It was amazing. Lilly's favorite part was when Ariel sings, "What's that word again? Oh....feet" I could watch Lilly sing that part all day. I'm sure the lady next to her was just as excited as I was to hear her sing too. I'm sure it wasn't at all distracting.
PS....for some reason after they meet Eric and Ariel it repeats again, I myself can watch it over and over again, but if you'd like to save yourself....when you hear the "Part of your world" again, you're about to watch the exact same clip :)
